Robot Business vs Robot Science

Is is possible to create a human mimicking robot that properly does mimic a human in how its form and shape are present and also in how it moves? This design process is with the consideration that the driving principle of the robot’s creation is to mimic a human with this principle being a science type of investigation. In addition, the design will not include considerations of how the robot would have its parts or capabilities lessened or lowered or changed so that, from a business perspective, the robot would be more likely to be a sales or commercial success. I am exploring just how closely, using science principles, it is possible for a structure made of non-living materials to really mimic a human if we left out that we had to keep lowering its abilities because of business related principles.
